Building a Better Future: A Filipino Skilled Worker’s Move to Regional Australia with RSG
“I am currently working as a welder and living in Wagga Wagga. I have moved to Australia for 13 months now. I used to live and work in Dubai because I always dreamed of giving my family a better life. One day, a friend of mine in Dubai told me about RSG, a leading immigration law firm, that could connect me with work opportunities in Australia. I first had an interview with Farhan Rehman, Principal Lawyer at RSG, and another interview with my current employer. Everything happened so quickly, and I was offered the job. After around 8 to 9 months, my work visa was approved for 3 years. RSG assisted me from the beginning and made the whole process so smooth, easy, and quick.
Before moving to Australia, I got to visit my family in the Philippines, and that meant so much to me. Then I flew to Australia by myself and started my new journey in Wagga Wagga. During my transition, even after my visa was granted, the team at RSG was always there if I needed assistance or
guidance. They checked in on me and offered to assist in making settling into Australia easier for me. At first, it was all very new, but people here made me feel so welcome. My workmates are very kind and helpful. I love my job, and I love the culture here. I am proud to be able to use my skills every day. I have learned a lot, and I feel part of a team that respects what I do. My colleagues, supervisors, and employers are all very understanding and always willing to help. I feel very safe and happy living in Wagga Wagga.
With RSG’s help, my 17-year-old daughter has officially joined me in Wagga Wagga on 31 April 2025. She really loves Australia already and will start school in October. It feels amazing to be with her again and to be able to provide her with a better future. Now, RSG is also working on bringing my 21-year-old son to Australia. I hope we will all be together soon.
I am grateful to RSG because I have a good job, a bright future, a place I love living in, and a happy family. RSG did not just help me obtain an Australian work visa; they changed my life.”
